Adelaide Hills Wine Show 2021

We gathered with our fellow Hills’ producers at the Adelaide Hills Wine Show lunch and we were delighted to be awarded two trophies and five medals.

Our 2021 La Francesa Savagnin received a Gold Medal and the Overall Trophy within the class “Other Whites” and we also received the Trophy for overall Best Producer Under 100 Tonnes within the region.

Winning the Best Producer Trophy is such an honour as it is awarded to the producer in the under 100 tonne category who has the most points across all of the wines they entered in the show. This trophy came as a very welcome surprise and is a testament to what Darren has achieved within our vineyards, especially given we are still in bushfire recovery mode, and our partnership with winemaker Tash Mooney.

It was great to see our La Francesa up there in the trophy winning circle as we have so much love for this variety. Savagnin is a bit of an underdog and isn’t at the top of the list when it comes to classic white varieties grown in the Hills so it is often not on people’s radar when searching for a delicious, aromatic, fresh and textural wine. Well look no further! If you haven’t yet experienced the delight that is Savagnin, you can click here to secure yourself a bottle or two.

Our full results for the show were:
