2010 The Handcart Shiraz
From Winemaker, Natasha Mooney
The Handcart Shiraz is made from premium cool climate fruit sourced from the northern part of the Adelaide Hills. It is richly perfumed with bright cassis berry fruit flavours on the nose. Matured for 12 months in older French oak this wine has lovely savoury and spice notes and a nice dry finish. It is made to drink now to three years. Enjoy with any red meat or game dishes.
Vintage conditions
The 2010 growing season saw near perfect conditions in the Adelaide Hills. Steady warm days and cool nights with no rain fall in the 40 days prior to harvest. The result of these conditions was Shiraz fruit with generous varietal characters and balanced acidity. The fruit was picked in April 2010.
