Winter Reds Weekend 2016 – Saturday July 30th

Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st July - 9am-5pm


This year we welcome you back to the Barn on Saturday and Sunday as we beat the chills in the Hills and fire up the food and wine factor to delicious!  Think smoked, wood fired, spit roasted, and slow braised hearty goodness. The wood oven and outdoor firepit grill will be stoked as La Dolce Vita Catering work their magic on seasonal local produce. Perfect for enjoying with a glass of delicious Adelaide Hills' red. This is going to be a feast for the senses!

DJ Tor will keep the beats going from 11am on Saturday, and local band Western Branch will be providing the live tunes from 11am on Sunday.

We’re making an early start this year with a wood fired & spit roasted inspired breakfast menu available between 9:30 and 11:30am rolling in to lunch service from 12noon.

This is not a ticketed event but there is a once off regional $10 entry fee for wine consumers that entitles you to a take home Speigelau glass and entry in to other non ticketed Winter Reds events.

Note: Table bookings are only available for large groups (15+) booking for breakfast between

9:30am and 10:30am.  First in best dressed at other times.

BREAKFAST MENU – 9.30am-11.30am:
  • Smokey bacon, chorizo, baked beans and scrambled egg in a Portuguese roll
  • Harris smoked salmon, spinach frittata, rocket and ricotta in a rye bun

            * Vegetarian and gluten free options available

LUNCH MENU – 12noon onwards:
  • PIZZA:  Fire Pit roasted Chermoula and buttermilk lamb, with eggplant, beetroot yogurt, coriander and smoked almonds    * Veg and gluten free option available
  • HOT DOG:  Toulouse sausage, red sauerkraut, pecorino, smoked pepper and tomato relish, finished with onion rings
  • GNOCCHI:  Coorong Angus Beef shank with winter vegetable ragout   * Veg and gluten free options available
  • CHICKEN WINGS:  Smokey bourbon and apple sauce, red beans and rice, finished with winter slaw
  • KIDS:  Hot dog and fries
  • DESSERT:  Hills apple and quince crumble, with vanilla bean ice cream
